Coming back from injury, Ben Stokes took to social media to give fans a glimpse of his first training session. The England all-rounder had removed two screws and scar tissue from his left forefinger while playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season in April. The ODI World Cup winner posted a few videos where he can be seen showing off his different types of strokes. Posting the video, she also captioned it as, “It’s casual clothing training Thursday… Usually my first ball back and that’s what happened then to make sure I don’t break my toe then the end One great to be back hitting balls”.

Stokes’ IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) also shared a video of their training session on social media and called it “a sight for the eyes”.

England pacer Jofra Archer welcomed his teammate and made fun of the first ball faced by Stokes. He commented on Stokes’ post, “First ball could be 4 anyway (no matter how they come)”.
Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler said, “Like riding a bike”.
Stokes also took an indefinite break from cricket in July to focus on his mental health. Although he is not in action, the cricketer has retained his England contract.
Due to his absence, he was not included in the Ashes squad of England and was also dropped from the T20 World Cup roster. The showpiece event is scheduled to be played in Oman and UAE from October 17.
