Won’t rest till I win Olympic gold: Nikhat Zareen

Nikhat Zareen, who is set to lead India’s campaign at the upcoming IBA Women’s Boxing World Championship in Delhi, has expressed confidence about her prospects. The Commonwealth Games gold medalist said she is confident going into the IBA Women’s Boxing World Championships and will try to make the country proud once again. “I am confident that I will once again make my country proud in Delhi,” Zareen said at the Revsports Trailblazers Sports Conclave in Kolkata.

The Hyderabadi boxer is also in good form as he won gold at the World Championships in Istanbul in the flyweight category and in the light flyweight category at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, but his ultimate goal is to win an Olympic medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“I won’t rest until I win that Olympic gold medal, which is my ultimate dream,” said the defending champion.

Nikhat also said that if she wins Olympic gold, she would like to meet Salman Khan once again and celebrate with dance.

“When I met Salman Khan I thought I would ask him questions but he was the one who asked me a lot of questions about my background and my sport. It was a great experience and if I win Olympic gold I will go I am.” Do at least one dance”, concluded Zareen.

Boxer Nikhat Zareen is in the kind of form all eyes will be on to clinch a medal at the Women’s World Boxing Championships and most importantly the Paris Olympics 2024.
