Sri Lanka will host India for a three-match ODI series starting on July 13 and as many T20Is. All six matches will be played at the same venue – R in Colombo. Premadasa Stadium.
The six-match tour is a perfect opportunity for many youngsters to carve a niche for themselves in the eyes of the national selectors in the absence of senior players. Shikhar Dhawan has been made the Indian captain in the absence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Former India captain Rahul Dravid has been appointed the team’s head coach for the tour, as Ravi Shastri is in England for the WTC final.
