The giant company Tata Motors has already taken a step in this direction. Tata is currently working on many more new electric cars to be launched in the Indian market. These include the Curve EV and the Avinya EV concept, which will make its debut in India after 2025. Both vehicles will be designed as all-electric vehicles and will have a skateboard platform. The brand has shared its future plan where it plans to launch 10 new electric cars in India by 2027.

Indian car manufacturer Tata currently offers two vehicles Tata Nexon EV and Tata Tigor EV in its electric portfolio in the Indian market. It also recently launched the new Tata Nexon EV Max. Tata has introduced this car for those customers who want a premium version of this electric SUV that gives them a longer range and better performance. Long range refers to the distance a car can travel completely on a single charge.

The Nexon EV is currently the best-selling electric car in India. It beat all competitors in terms of sales. With more than 80 percent market share in the electric car segment in India, Tata is now working on launching new electric cars to give serious competition to its rivals. According to what we have learned so far, Tata will launch the new Altroz​​​​​​EV in India. After that, a new micro SUV based electric car is also likely to be available for sale soon. This new small electric car will be priced at less than Rs 10 lakh.

It will be a good alternative for those looking for a compact and affordable city commuter. It is likely to be showcased at the Auto Expo to be held in 2023. Tata’s Sierra electric SUV is also certain to be unveiled. This car was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020. Also, other Tata electric cars will be based on the new Sigma platform. The Sigma platform is a highly modified version of the Alpha platform. It is made for all-electric cars. Also called Gen 3 architecture. This new rig comes with the Born Electric Philosophy line. It supports multiple body styles including SUV and coupe SUV. It remains to be seen when these Tata electric cars will hit the ground running and then what they feed on.
