Mahindra XUV 700 – The Mahindra XUV700 is one of the best selling SUVs in this segment. The AX7 and AX7L variants of this car have ADAS technology. The list of technologies includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, high beam assist and traffic sign recognition. The top-spec AX7 L variant gets an exclusive blind-spot monitor and adaptive cruise control. The XUV700 is available with petrol and diesel engines. Both get 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearboxes. The diesel XUV is powered by a 2.2-litre M Hawk diesel engine and the petrol XUV is powered by a 2.0-litre direct injection M Stallion turbo petrol engine.

MG Astor – MG offers ADAS technology at its best Sharp (O) (Savy). ADS includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning/prevention, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, high beam assist, blind spot detection and rear cross traffic alert. Other features on the top trim include a 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology, a 360-degree camera and a personal AI assistant. This car is available in 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.3 liter turbocharged petrol engine. Transmission options include a five-speed manual, an eight-speed CVT and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Honda City e: HEV – Honda City Hybrid or e:HEV is one of the best cars in this segment. It has ADS technology and various segment first functions. Honda has named the ADS technology in its Honda City car as Honda Sensing Technology. The collision mitigation system includes automatic emergency braking. If there is going to be a big collision with the car, then it will give you a visual and audible warning so that the driver can react. If the driver is still not paying attention, the system will try to bring the car to a complete stop with an abrupt brake. The car also comes with a road departure mitigation system that will prevent it from going off the road. Lane Departure Assist allows the driver to keep the car in its lane. The car also comes with automatic high beam assist, which senses oncoming traffic to adjust the high beams. Likewise, the adaptive cruise control automatically adjusts the speed on long highways to keep the speed within a certain limit.

MG Gloster – MG Gloster was the first mass market car in India to have ADAS. These include a PM 2.5 filter, wireless charging, 360 degree surround view cameras, power seats for messaging, automatic headlights.

Hyundai Tucson – Hyundai Tucson was recently launched in India. This is the first Hyundai car to be equipped with ADAS function. Tucson’s ADAS has all the features. Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Safe Exit Warning, High Beam Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Intelligent Cruise Control and Assist rear side collision avoidance make it unique. The safety features don’t end there. Safety features like electronic stability control, 6 airbags, vehicle stability control, hill descent control, hill start control, blind spot monitor and surround view monitor will also be appreciated by customers. This car is available with 2.0L diesel engine and 2.0L NetASP petrol engine. The diesel engine has an 8-speed automatic transmission and the petrol car has a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
