As part of ‘Play at Home’, PS Plus announced March Games to get PlayStation users free games by June

PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 users can own a copy of Ratchet and Clank for free, as part of the company’s Play At Home initiative. Sony introduced Play At Home in April last year, as the world was continuously entering lockdown due to the outbreak of COVID-19. As part of the initiative, the company last year gave away digital copies of two games – Journey and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection – completely for free. These free titles can be downloaded by anyone, whether or not a person has a PlayStation Plus membership. Sony has launched the initiative again this year, starting with a free copy of Ratchet and Clank for the month of March, with more games expected to be announced by June.

Announcing via a blog post on 23 February, Sony said that Play at Home is closing in March and will expand through June.

The first free game to be introduced is Ratchat and Clank (Review), a strangely addictive and surprisingly hilarious space adventure featuring Ratchet, a Lomax (a kitten humanoid) and his trusted robot friend, Clank Is enacted. Developed by Insomnia Games of Spider-Man fame, Ratchet and Clank is marked by Outlandish weapons, engaging gameplay, and a lavishly rich world. Starting at 8 pm PST (2 March / 9:30 am IST) on 1 March, users can redeem the game for free anytime before 8 pm PDT (1 April / 9:30 am IST) on 31 March.

As mentioned earlier, you do not need a PS Plus subscription to access the Play At Home titles. You just have to cash in on the game and it will be yours to download and play. Interestingly, owners of PlayStation 5 will automatically have free access to Ratchet and Clank through the PlayStation Plus collection. Sony is about to announce Free Games as the Play at Home initiative continues until June.
