Ather 450X Gen 3 Electric Scooter Launched, Find Out Its Starting Price



New Delhi. Ather Energy has launched the third generation model of its updated 450X electric scooter in the domestic market. The company has made many improvements in this electric scooter, making it even better than the previous model. The company also updated its second variant, the 450 Plus. The updated Ather 450X is priced at Rs 1,57,507 and the 450 Plus is priced at Rs 1,35,996 (ex-showroom India including government subsidy). In comparison, the outgoing 450X costs Rs 1,52,401 and the 450 Plus costs Rs 1,33,391.

The biggest change in the third generation Ather 450X is seen in its battery pack. In this, the company has provided a large Li-ion battery with a capacity of 3.7kWh, which is better than the old unit’s 2.9kWh. The updated 450X offers a range of 85 km in ‘Ride Mode’ and 105 km in ‘Eco Mode’. Which earlier had a range of only 70 km (Ride Mode) and 85 km (Eco Mode). On the other hand, Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) claims that this mileage can be increased to 116 km and 146 km respectively.

The scooter comes with a bigger battery

The new model gets 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, which Ather claims provides a much faster user interface than before in all apps and more. Let us tell you that 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM were given in the previous model. Although there is a bigger battery in this scooter, the charging time has also increased a bit. However, this scooter’s battery takes a total of 5 hours and 40 minutes to fully charge from 0-100 percent, which is five minutes less than the previous model.

More weight than the previous model

Ather Energy now uses new 12 inch MRF tires in this scooter. The scooter now weighs 111.6 kg, which is 3.6 kg more than before. Along with this, it also gets 18- and 16-liter capacity bags as accessories that can be mounted on the back and apron. Other than that, no other changes have been made to this scooter. It has a 200mm disc brake at the front and a 190mm brake at the rear. Its electric motor generates 6kW of power as before.
