Christie’s NFT Expert Noah Davis Joins Cryptopunks Project With Era Labs

Noah Davis, a key member of auction house Christie’s non-fungible token (NFT) project, is said to be taking a position with Era Labs as Brand Lead for the Cryptopunks NFT collection in July as Specialist and Head of Digital leaving the post. , Announcing the move in a Twitter thread on Sunday, Davis said in one of her tweets, “If you’re a punk holder and you care about the legacy/future of the brand I want to talk one-on-one. I’ll be at the Punks brunch during NFT NYC and will immediately begin scheduling sit-downs. The community will help guide us wherever Punk goes.”

Davis was in charge of Beeple’s record-breaking “Everydays: The First 5000 Days” NFT auction, which sold for over $69 million (approximately Rs 536 crore) in March 2021. The sale created a lot of buzz and spotlight about NFTs. It was recognized that digital art could be bought and sold with high valuations from reputable auction houses that deal in world-class art and luxury products for high-end clients. With the success of its first NFT sale, Christie’s subsequently decided to auction off more digital tokens.

Era Labs acquired the intellectual property of the Cryptopunks collection from Larva Labs in March, saying it would transfer full commercial rights to the owners, a promise yet to be realized.

But Era Labs co-founder Willy Aronov, also known as “Gargamel”, signaled a pause in a series of tweets on June 19, writing that “hurrying was very important” and that New words “will be in place in the next few weeks.”

With Davis’ move announced and new terms in force soon, few claims insiders knew before the collection’s increasing sales volume.

According to OpenSea, since the announcement, Cryptopunks Collection has had 39 sales, with a total of 101 sales on Sunday, up from just 19 sold the day before on Saturday.
