Deep nostalgia brings historical photographs to life using A.I.

Deep nostalgia online family tree service is a new AI-powered technology from MyHeritage, which combines facial animations such as smile, nodes, blinks, and head tilts into still photos. Using the website or mobile app, users can choose from a set of previously recorded animations that can be transferred to their still photos. The service warns that its technology should not be used to attempt to create “deepfake” videos without public figures or anyone else’s permission. You can crop the face from group shots but not yet animate many people in one frame. A watermark will be applied to indicate that such animations are generated artificially.

Users can sign up for a free account to use Deep Nostalgia, but they will be limited to a very small number of animations until they purchase a subscription plan. Animations can be easily posted on social media and exported as MP4 files. The technique has gone viral on social media, with people posting examples of animated portraits of the “Harry Potter” -style. in India, Keerthic Sasidharan, Author of The Forest Forest, is among those users who have posted animations of Indian freedom fighters and other historical figures. Here are some of the most interesting photos he has posted.
