Echo Dot (5th generation) launched in India, now your home will become even smarter

Amazon Echo Dot (5th generation) smart speaker was launched in India. The features of the new entry-level smart speaker are introduced with many new technologies. The company promises better sound quality and better voice assistant support through Alexa. Globally, the Amazon Echo Dot speaker (5th generation) comes in two variants – a more affordable standard variant and a slightly more expensive ‘Clock’ variant which features an LED clock display built into the front. However, the second variant is yet to be released in India.

The standard variant of the Amazon Echo Dot (5th generation) is priced at Rs 4,999. Its second watch variant may be priced at Rs 5,499 in India, it is currently not listed in India but may be launched soon.

Amazon’s Echo Dot (5th generation) has a similar design to its predecessor, the Amazon Echo Dot (4th generation), with a ring-shaped indicator light in a circular shape. This smart speaker comes with several new features including a built-in temperature sensor, ultrasonic motion detection and promises better sound quality.

For connectivity, the new Echo Dot uses Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) to stream music directly through Alexa, as well as Bluetooth connectivity that can be used with devices such as smartphones, tablets and audio players. The smart speaker features a 1.73-inch single speaker setup and can be used with the Alexa app for various communication and audio streaming functions. Like other Echo smart speakers, you can use the Echo Dot (5th generation) to control all the smart devices in your home.
