Yamaha is a well-known name in the world of two-wheelers. The company has been providing services for many years. Most of his bikes were liked by people. The youth showed a lot of madness. Let us tell you that Yamaha’s RX100 motorcycle (RX100) occupies a special place in the Indian motoring scene. It was launched in 1985. It was produced until 1996 and attracted many customers with its simple no-nonsense package. The brand continues to offer after sales support for those who own the RX100. Now the company plans to bring back the legacy of the RX100. That is, it will be the first Yamaha vintage bike to be launched in the Indian market.
Yamaha India Chairman Ishin Chihana recently confirmed in an interview that the brand plans to launch the new RX100 motorcycle in India. Now, this bike will not have a two-stroke engine like the old model because the emission norms have become very strict these days. It is believed that keeping in mind the legacy of RX100 in India, Yamaha will have to provide the perfect combination of design and growing experience in the new bike, similar to the original model.
While the brand plans to launch multiple products by 2025, the new RX100 could be unveiled in 2026. The brand currently has multiple bikes in its portfolio ranging from 125cc offerings to 250cc street bikes and other performance-oriented offerings. The Japanese bike maker plans to launch more premium and powerful motorcycles in India. Yamaha is also preparing a new electric scooter for the Indian market which will be launched in 2025. Yamaha is also looking to bring some global electric scooters through the CBU or CKD route in the country. These electric scooters will compete with Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, TVS i-QUBE, Ola S1 Pro, Simple One and others.
