Jio Phone users now have Rs. 153 prepaid recharge plan which provided 1.5GB high speed data benefits on a daily basis for 28 days. Rupee. The 153 plan was introduced back in July 2017 and received an update in February 2018 – with an arrival of Rs. 49 Prepaid Scheme. It also provided unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS messages daily to Jio Phone users. The change comes just after Jio levied last year on the off-net domestic voice calls that resulted from Interconnect Usage Charges (IUC).

Jio is offering Rs. 155 prepaid recharge plan, as the closest option of Rs. 153 plan. Although 1GB per day brings high-speed data, this is in contrast to the latter which includes 1.5GB daily data allocation.
The details available on the web archives show that Rs. 153 prepaid recharge scheme existed until at least 31 December. Some news outlets reported that along with Rs. In the Rs 153 plan, Jio offered Rs. 99, Rs. 297, and Rs. 594 Prepaid Recharge Plan. However, this is clearly not the case as those plans are not visible on the web archives at least until November 2019.

Earlier this month, Jio again started offering free voice calls to other networks – after paying its earlier off-net call fee at 6 paise per minute. The move comes as a result of the Bill and Keep Regime that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has implemented from 1 January.
