Jio Phone users now have Rs. 153 prepaid recharge plan which provided 1.5GB high speed data benefits on a daily basis for 28 days. Rupee. The 153 plan was introduced back in July 2017 and received an update in February 2018 – with an arrival of Rs. 49 Prepaid Scheme. It also provided unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS messages daily to Jio Phone users. The details available on the web archives show that Rs. 153 prepaid recharge scheme existed until at least 31 December. Some news outlets reported that along with Rs. In the Rs 153 plan, Jio offered Rs. 99, Rs. 297, and Rs. 594 Prepaid Recharge Plan. However, this is clearly not the case as those plans are not visible on the web archives at least until November 2019.

Gadgets 360 has reached out to Jio for clarity on removal and will update this report when the company responds.

Earlier this month, Jio again started offering free voice calls to other networks – after paying its earlier off-net call fee at 6 paise per minute. The move comes as a result of the Bill and Keep Regime that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has implemented from 1 January.
