Maruti Suzuki’s next generation cars will be launched soon

Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the next generation Alto hatchback and Eeco hatchback. Reports suggest that the all-new Alto will be launched in August and the Eeco will hit the roads by September 2022. Here are the key details on the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Suzuki cars.
Major changes will be made to the new generation Alto hatchback. The model will have a more angular stance (as we saw in the new Celerio) and move to Suzuki’s modular Heartect platform. It will be bigger than before. The automaker will also offer the new 1.0L K10C DualJet gasoline engine, which is good enough for 67 hp. and 89 Nm. The existing 796cc engine will continue to be offered, but may be reserved for lower variants. This time the hatch may get a CNG kit. The interior will definitely have more features than the current model.

The new generation Maruti Eeco is likely to get several cosmetic and functional upgrades including power steering. No change is expected according to the report. Like the current model, the new one will be powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 73bhp. peak power and 101 Nm of torque. The car maker claims that the Eeco delivers a fuel efficiency of 16.11 kmpl and its CNG variant delivers 21.8 kmpl.
First launched in 2010, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco is set to get a generation change this year. Although there is no official confirmation of this. Sources claim that the all-new Eeco will hit the roads around August or September 2022. Details about the new Maruti Eeco 2022 are scarce. However, the van is likely to come with a few new features, including slightly better styling and power steering. The new model may retain the existing powertrain – ie. 1.2L, 4-cylinder unit. The Jimny could arrive in 2023

Reports suggest that Maruti Suzuki will introduce the much-awaited 5-door Maruti Jimny by mid-2023. The off-road SUV will be available in two seating configurations – 5-seater and 7-seater. It will feature Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro four-wheel drive technology, low-range transmission and 3-link solid axle suspension. It will be produced with around 70% locally sourced components. For power, the Jimny will use a 1.5-litre petrol engine which is good enough for 102PS and 130Nm.
