A new base variant of the Tiago NRG range has been introduced ie. Tiago XT NRG (Tata tiago xt Nrg) which is priced at Rs 6.42 lakh. This makes the Tiago NRG range cheaper by Rs 41,000 compared to earlier. Earlier, the Tiago NRG was only available with the top-of-the-line XZ variant of the hatchback, with prices starting at Rs 6.83 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).

The Tiago XT NRG gets two-tone wheel covers, power steering and power steering, front and rear power windows, Harman infotainment system, steering wheel-mounted audio and phone controls, 4 speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, 14-inch power wheels. Height adjustable driver’s seat for ORVM, digital instrument panel and more. The Tiago NRG is powered by the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder NA petrol engine as the standard hatchback version. This engine produces 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed MT as well as a 5-speed AMT. Tata offers the Tiago NRG in four different color schemes namely Cloudy Grey, Fire Red, Polar White and Foresta Green.

Apart from this, Tata Motors has also announced several updates for the standard Tiago XT, XTA and XT iCNG which include 14-inch hyperstyle wheels, height adjustable driver’s seat, rear luggage rack and more. The company has also introduced an optional cadence pack for the Tiago XT petrol variant which includes features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rear camera and 4 tweeters. The Rhythm pack costs Rs 30,000 extra over the new XT trim. Additionally, the new XT trim also gets a new Midnight Plum color.
It gets the same features as the XT variant of the standard Tiago. The list of features on XT variants includes rear parking sensors, wheel covers, four-speaker music system, driver’s seat height adjustment, rear luggage shelf and manual air conditioning. The NRG is powered by Tata’s 1.2-litre petrol engine which produces 84bhp/113Nm and is only available with a five-speed manual gearbox. The NRG trim of the Tiago is the ‘off-road’ version of the hatchback with features like faux skid plates, cladding and slightly higher ground clearance. The Tiago NRG competes with the base versions of the Citroen C3 and Maruti Celerio.
