Redmi Note 11 series launch confirmed on October 28, listing hints on three variants

The launch date of Redmi Note 11 series has been confirmed by the company. The new lineup will be unveiled during a dedicated event on 28 October. The poster that confirms the launch date also offers a glimpse of the design of the Redmi Note 11 series. The phone has taken inspiration from the latest iPhone 13 series and features flat metal edges and square corners. Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ have also been spotted on JD.com ahead of the launch.

Xiaomi announced the launch of the Redmi Note 11 series on Weibo. The launch event will take place on October 28 at 7 PM CST Asia (4:30 PM IST). Redmi Note 11 has a hole-punch display with a cutout in the middle. The JBL-tuned speaker grille, 3.5mm audio jack and mic hole are placed on the top edge. At the back is a quad camera setup inside a rectangular-shaped module with a large sensor sitting on top. The camera module also sports an LED flash. The Redmi Note 11 is seen sporting a volume rocker and power button on the right spine.

Apart from this, Xiaomi has revealed some more about the Redmi Note 11 series. The phone has also been listed on JD.com in the lineup ahead of launch. Three models – Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro + have been listed on the e-commerce site. The listing suggests that the most premium Redmi Note 11 Pro+ will come in Mysterious Blackland, Misty Forest and Time Quiet Purple color options. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 11 Pro model is listed to come in Mysterious Blackland, Misty Forest, Shallow Meng Singhe and Time Quiet Purple color options. Both the phones are listed to come in 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage models. The color and storage options of Redmi Note 11 were not seen in the JD.com listing till the time of writing this news.

Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi is taking reservations for the Redmi Note 11 series on JD.com. Buyers can deposit between CNY 100 (approximately Rs 1,200) to CNY 200 (approximately Rs 2,400) to pre-book a handset and be the first to shop at launch.

Previous leaks suggest that the Redmi Note 11 Pro could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC, while the Redmi Note 11 could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. Similarly, the Redmi Note 11 Pro could sport a 108-megapixel main camera and the Redmi Note 11 could sport a 50-megapixel main camera. The price of Redmi Note 11 is expected to start at CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs. 14,050). On the other hand, the Redmi Note 11 Pro price is expected to start at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs 18,700).
