Reliance Jio introduces unlimited two-day complimentary plan for users affected after the outage

Reliance Jio is offering two days unlimited plan to customers in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. This is after the service disruption that users experienced in both the circles for a few hours. Jio has rolled out this two-day plan to compensate for the inconvenience caused due to service interruption for the users. Due to network issue, JioDown was trending on Twitter and thousands of issues with Jio connection were also reported on internet outage tracker DownDetector.

Jio sent out a message to all affected users informing them about this two-day unlimited plan. Jio says that this plan will be applicable to the user’s number by the end of the day and will be activated after the expiry of the current active plan. While Jio does not mention what this complimentary unlimited plan is, it is likely to offer unlimited data to the users.

The exact message sent by Jio is as follows:

“Dear Jio User,

Your service experience is our top priority.

Unfortunately, this morning you and some other customers in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh faced service disruption. While our teams were able to resolve this network issue within a few hours, we understand that it was not a pleasant service experience for you, and for that we are truly sorry.

As a goodwill gesture, we are extending a 2-day Supplemental Unlimited plan that will automatically be applied to your number tonight. Complimentary plan will be activated after the end of your currently active plan. We at Jio value you and your service experience.”

The telecom operator has since fixed the issue and service is back to normal in both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh regions. It is not necessary that all the subscribers of the circle get the message of the complimentary plan. Jio is likely to send messages only to the affected users.
