Samsung Galaxy S23 series to have telephoto camera similar to Galaxy S22: Report

A report that surfaced last week shed some light on Samsung’s choice of front cameras for next year’s Galaxy S23 and S23+ smartphones. And while the news in this case has been good, with rumors that the device in question may ship with advanced selfie cameras, the same clearly cannot be said for the telephoto lens at the back.

According to the same source, both the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will use the same 10-megapixel resolution as the S22 and S22+ for the telephoto camera. It’s going to be 3x as likely as it was this year, and in fact, it could be the same exact setup including the same sensor. According to a report by GalaxyClub, no rumors have been spread specifically about this yet.

There’s no clarity on what the situation might hold for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but it looks like the non-Ultra S flagships will stay in the same configuration (or very similar configuration) for another year.

Of course, this is just an unconfirmed rumor at the moment and since there are several months left for the launch of these models, even if this information is correct at this point of time, Samsung may change its plans before launching the Galaxy S23 family.

Anyway, if this comes to an end, it is expected that the Korean company will have other updates coming to the S23 and S23+ apart from the high-resolution selfie camera.
