Why Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 now?

No phone with this chipset was officially announced at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Night event, but it’s highly likely that some of these flagship phones will ship with this chipset in the coming months. Samsung may also launch its new flagship foldable phone, the Galaxy Fold 4, with this chipset.

1. Asus ROG Phone 6

Not at the time of the chipset launch, but now it has been announced by the company that the Asus ROG Phone 6 will be the first phone to come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Qualcomm even gave a prototype ASUS-made Snapdragon device to some reviewers. This prototype device also has the ROG logo.

2. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is also in development and it is speculated that this phone will also be launched in August this year as Predsar. We will also see the Galaxy Z Fold 4 on the market in August 2022 along with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

3. Realme GT 2 Pro Master Edition

Realme has also officially launched the Realme GT 2 Pro Master Edition with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This smartphone is likely to launch in China in July 2022. And there is a possibility that it will be launched in India in August as well.

As of now, the company has given a nature-inspired design to all the Master Edition phones and has partnered with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa for them. The phone is also expected to come with a 108MP primary rear camera and 150W charging.

4. Motorola Edge 30 Ultra

Motorola is also all set to launch its new smartphone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The company has teased the phone with this chipset but has not revealed the name of the phone. Although it is speculated that the company may launch the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra with this new chipset.

Apart from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra will come with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the phone may come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Samsung’s new 200MP camera can also be seen in this Motorola phone. A 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP telephoto sensor are also speculated to come here. The phone is rumored to get a 32MP selfie camera as well as a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

5. iQOO 10 Pro

iQOO also announced that its new flagship phone and successor to the iQOO 9 Pro will be available in the iQOO 10 Pro. Snapdragon 8, Gen 1 The processor will be Coming to the SD 8+ Gen 1 variant, the iQOO phone will sport a BMW-inspired design.

7. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

The Redmi K50s Pro will also feature a 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display and may come with a brightness of 1200 nits. The phone is expected to come with triple rear cameras, which could include a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. 120W fast charging support can be found in the phone with a 5000mAh battery.

10. Vivo X90 Pro

Qualcomm also confirmed Vivo’s name, which means a new flagship phone will come with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from that company later that year. Although Vivo has not made any announcement yet but there is a possibility that the company will launch the successor of Vivo X80 Pro i.e. Vivo X90 Pro with this chipset at the end of the year.
