But with this, the company has also introduced a new and powerful mid-range chipset and it is called Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. The company claims this chipset will change the world of gaming in mid-range smartphones. It is said to be a powerful gaming chipset. Not even a week has passed since its launch and Oppo has also launched its new Oppo Reno 8 Pro smartphone along with it. In times to come, this chipset will power many mid-range smartphones and we have provided you with a list of them.

According to the company, this new 7-series chipset will deliver high-end features that will be slightly less than flagship Android phones. This time some big changes have been made in this new chipset, then it will give a different gaming experience to the customers, camera performance and hardware performance will also improve with this chipset.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Specifications

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset is an octa-core chipset powered by Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process. While for 8+ Gen 1 the company has chosen TSMC Foundry. A core Cortex-A710 in 7 Gen 1 has a clock speed of 2.4 GHz, 3 Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.36 GHz and 4 energy efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. It will be accompanied by Adreno 662 GPU. The company claims that with this CPU and GPU pairing, this processor will be able to deliver 20 percent faster and better graphics than the Predator.

1. Oppo Reno 8 Pro

Oppo Reno 8 Pro is the first smartphone with this chipset. Launched only on May 23, 2022. Up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage are provided in the phone with this chipset.

Additionally, the phone has a 6.62-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has triple rear cameras including a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro sensor. The phone also includes features like a 32MP selfie camera, 4500mAh battery and 80W fast charging support.

2. Honor 70

The Honor 70 series will be launched in China on May 30, which will include three smartphones Honor 70, Honor 70 Pro and 70 Pro+. In this case, the base model Honor 70 will be launched with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.

Specifications like Full HD + AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, triple rear cameras including a 50MP main camera and a 4500mAh battery with 66W fast charging support can also be found in this smartphone.

3. Nothing Phone (1)

Regarding the Nothing Phone (1), the company has already announced that it will feature a Snapdragon chipset and Nothing OS. Since this is a leaked device, reports suggest that it will also be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.

We are about to see a transparent design in the Nothing Phone (1) and according to the company, such a design will be seen for the first time in the smartphone world where you will be able to see the components inside the phone. Also, the phone will see features like Full HD + AMOLED screen, high refresh rate, triple rear camera setup with 50MP primary sensor.

4. Realme X series smartphones

Realme may also launch a new smartphone with this new mid-range chipset. Although no name has been revealed by the company, but it is likely that the phone that will come with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will be called Realme X4.
