A newly married woman reached Agra for a checkup stopping the farewell ceremony



Sunil Saket, Agra: The UP Board exam has started. These young men and women also appear in the exams, whose marriages also took place between the exams. On the first day of the exam on Thursday, many girls arrived at school wearing henna and vermilion on their hands. When a young lady stopped her farewell ceremony and sat for her midterm exam, a groom also came to stand for the exam.

Secondary and intermediate level examinations are conducted at 163 centers in Agra. In the first quarter of the morning, Kanhaiya, a resident of Khandauli, came as a groom to appear for the 10th class examination. He married Anisa of Sadabad on 16th February. After doing rounds at 3 a.m., he left home at 5 a.m. for Maharaja Surajmal Inter College, Dhanauli. Seeing him at the examination center dressed as a groom, the hall controller searched him thoroughly and also removed the dagger hanging from his shoulder.

Similarly, Asha Kushwaha, a resident of Baroli Ahir Semri, is a class 12 student. Asha said that as important as marriage is, passing the exam is equally important. So he stopped his goodbyes and took his 12th exam at BRI Intermediate in Bilhaini. Asha’s decision was also supported by her in-laws. After Asha’s exam was over, the in-laws fired her and took her home.

11,840 absent on the first day

The UP Board exam was conducted at 163 centers. There were 1,25,461 registered candidates in the district. On the first day, 67,185 candidates appeared for the high school examination and 60,797 for the intermediate, of which 11,840 candidates remained absent.
