In Gautam Budh Nagar district, the Greater Noida Authority has demolished encroachment on land notified to Sunpura. The colonizers carved out illegal settlements over an area of about 20,000 square meters. The value of land free from illegal occupation is estimated at around Rs 40 crore.
AK Arora, Project Managing Director, Greater Noida Authority, said Sunpura Village Land (Khasra Nos.-433, 434, 437 and 438) is within the notified area of the Authority. The colonizers were carving out illegal settlements on about 20,000 square meters of land here. After getting information about it, Senior Manager Chetram, Manager Charan Singh, Rajesh Kumar and Amit Kumar arrived at the scene with the police force on Friday. The illegal encroachment was demolished by taking action through two JCBs. The value of this land has been estimated at around Rs 40 crore. A strict warning has been given to those who cut down illegal settlements that if they try to build illegal settlements again, strict legal action will also be taken.
Greater Noida Authority official AK Arora said those building illegally in the notified area will not be spared. The action against these people will continue permanently. In addition to demolishing the illegal construction, legal action will also be taken against them. He also warned those who bought land from the colonizers not to trap their hard-earned money in the desire for cheap housing.
