Rampour: Former Uttar Pradesh minister and PS leader Azam Khan suffered another setback. The Yogi government has given notice to vacate his building Jauhar Shodh Sansthan in 15 days. Previously, the lease of the Rampur Public School building, managed by Johar Trust, was cancelled. Prior to 2017, when the SP government was in power, this building was leased to Jauhar Trust at the rate of Rs 100 per annum. This building was constructed in around Rs 20 crore. The Johar Show Institute building is constructed on approximately 13,000 square meters.
Rampur SDM Sadar Nirankar Singh said a letter had been received from the government to the Department of Minorities. In this it was said to terminate the lease due to irregularities from Johar Trust. The Deputy Minister appointed a four-member committee to investigate the matter. The same committee issued a notice to evacuate the building within 15 days. It was said in this notice that if the land is not released by Azam Khan within 15 days, then the eviction process will be initiated by the government. At present, only Rampur Public School is operating in Johar Trust building.
The proposal was adopted by the cabinet in January
It should be noted that Azam Khan, who was a strong minister in the SP government, had praised the Government Research Institute of the Minority Protection Department in his personal confidence. For this, the rules have also been changed several times. Even the aims of the research institute were changed by the SP government. At the cabinet meeting of the Yogi government held in January this year, a proposal to remove the research institute from the Johar Trust was passed.
