Barabaki: In Barabanki, UP, a motorist forcibly rammed the car into an on-duty traffic cop, breaking his right leg. According to reports, due to the huge crowd of Kanwariyas at Lodheshwar Mahadeva located in Ramnagar Police Station area on Monday in Sawan, the administration had diverted the route. On Monday afternoon, a man named Harihar Singh was traveling to the village of Marna in his private car (UP 32JM 2900). Where the police stationed on route diversion duty at Chowkaghat intersection advised Harihar Singh not to proceed due to the crowds at the fair. Furious that he stopped the car, Harihar Singh drove the car into traffic policeman Firoz Alam.

During the incident, video of the argument between the officers and car driver Harihar Singh went viral. The UP government logo was on the car, as well as the block leader was written. The car talks about Rudrapratap Singh, a Madna resident. Harihar Singh was present in the car at the time of the incident. In the video, Harihar Singh describes himself as a retired inspector. After arguing with the officers, Harihar Singh deliberately drove the vehicle into the traffic cop. In this, the traffic policeman’s leg was broken. The injured officers were taken to hospital by ambulance and hospitalized.

Two cases registered against the accused
Additional Superintendent of Police Purunedu Singh said two cases were recorded in the case. A complaint has been filed by the injured soldier, in which there is an allegation of injury. The second file was submitted by the Inspector on duty at the place concerned. In this, even if the block head is not there, the block head is written on the car. ASP said Harihar Singh has been taken into custody, questioning is ongoing.
