Conversion into Prayagraj SHUATS Agricultural University! Prayagraj shuats conversion case accused chancellor on the run before police raid
The first FIR was recorded in April 2022
The first FIR in case of illegal conversion was recorded on April 15, 2022 at Fatehpur Kotwali. After that, on January 23, 2023, two new cases were registered in Kotwali Fatehpur. Police are looking for the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and defendants in the case. In fact, on April 14, 2022, the issue of mass conversion came to light in the evangelical church located in Hariharganj, Fatehpur. A case was registered in the case on 15th April 2022 at Fatehpur Police Station.
It was alleged that people were converted by the defendants by promising them jobs, education and homes. In the investigation, the role of Chancellor of Shuates, Dr Jetty A Oliver, VC RB Lal and Administrative Officer Vinod B Lal was found to be suspect. So far, 54 people have been charged in the case. Among them, 15 are in prison, 36 have obtained early bail and three are on the run. Apart from this, UP STF also recorded 2 FIR against 11 including Vice Chancellor Prof. RB Lal on 2nd February 2023 in case of illegal appointments and financial irregularities.
Naini Police arrested 2 people in the case and sent them to jail. It is alleged that 69 professors, assistant professors and associate professors have been appointed illegally over the past 33 years. Apart from this, there is also a serious allegation of financial irregularities at Schuats. It is alleged that in a part of RB Lal University, every week Jesus holds court. Illegal conversions are carried out under its guise.
Two arrested for religious conversion
On the other hand, in Kaushambi, the UP police arrested two people who had converted to religion under the pretext of curing diseases by miracles. SP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said on Tuesday that Ghumai Village Warden of Saini Police Station area of the district informed that some people in the village are trying to convert the villagers by luring them to cure the disease by organizing a mass meeting and adopting Christianity is told. He said that after getting the information, the police came to the scene and arrested Gendalal and Hiralal, residents of Gan Dhumai under Saini police station.
