Lucknow: To make Uttar Pradesh special, the Yogi government will attract investment from all over the world. For this, a three-day Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit will be held in the second week of January. The target has been set to achieve an investment of Rs 10 lakh crore through the summit. The government will also hold roadshows to more than a dozen countries to connect global investors. Efforts will be made to show a different investment environment in the state to investors around the world.

The outline of the Global Investors Summit was decided at the meeting chaired by CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday. After Yogi assumed power, the Investor Summit was held in February 2018, during which proposals of Rs 4.68 lakh crore were received. This time its outline was global and the target was doubled. The likely location of the event could be Agra. Yogi said at the meeting that this three-day event can start on January 9, 2023, the day of Pravasi Diwas. This summit will give new impetus to the aspirations of the UP.

Team UP will invite all over the world
CM requested to give wide publicity to the Global Investors Summit by organizing road shows in countries like UK, USA, Canada, UAE, Sweden, Singapore, Netherlands, Israel, France, Germany, South Korea, Mauritius, Russia and Australia. He said that UP government teams should be sent to these countries, which should create a favorable environment for this in the industrial world there. Singapore has expressed its wish to be the first partner country. This should be taken into account.

The Netherlands, Japan, Slovakia, Finland, Czech Republic, Mauritius, Thailand, Nepal and Belgium were our partner countries at the Investor Summit 2018. This time talk to Sweden and to Belgium with them. Ambassadors and High Commissioners of all countries should be contacted.

Special marking for ODOP
During the three-day summit, one day will be entirely dedicated to MSMEs. UP has the largest number of 90 lakh MSMEs in the country and holds the largest share of its exports. UP creates the “One District, One Product” (ODOP) brand around the world. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gifted the products to many heads of state during the G-7 summit. Therefore, special attention will be paid to increasing their market during the summit.

CM has served the needs of industries such as food processing, loom, loom, IT, biofuels, film and media, tourism, solar energy, electric vehicles, animation, visual effects, games and comics industry, civil aviation, housing and real estate, etc. Keeping the new policy, instructions were also given to bring it by the end of August.

These measures will also be taken

  • MoUs worth more than Rs 50 crore will be at the state level.
  • MoUs below Rs 50 crore will be with the districts.
  • A revenue team will be formed to increase the land bank, which is currently one lakh hectares.
  • Monitoring of each MoU will be done through the web portal.
  • A new industrial policy will come for the needs of the industrial world.
