Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court of Uttar Pradesh, while hearing the case transfer request filed by SP Chief Azam Khan, called the plaintiff’s response. The court asked the plaintiff to file a response at the next hearing. This order was given by Judge Dinesh Kumar Singh during the hearing of a petition filed by Azam Khan and two others. Azam Khan demanded that his 6 cases be heard in another district court instead of Rampur.

Please say that Azam Khan’s assembly membership was revoked after he was sentenced to three years in the inflammatory speech case. After that, the BJP also won the elections held in Rampur. Today, his son Abdullah Azam was sentenced to two years for blocking the highway. His membership is also under threat. The Representation of the People Act states that anyone convicted of a sentence of two years or more will be disqualified “from the date of such conviction” and that the disqualification will continue for six years after the sentence served in prison.

In October 2022 last year, Azam Khan was announced disqualified from the House by the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Secretariat. Earlier, a court sentenced him to three years in prison in a hate speech case.
