After the Umesh Pal murder case, the STF formed to catch the assailants is in full swing. A day ago, when gunman Arbaz was killed during an encounter in Dhumanganj neighborhood of Prayagraj, Sadaqat, who was driving the gunman’s Creta car at the time of the killing, was arrested.

Prayagraj: Day February 24, Dhumanganj Square Prayagraj area. Seven assailants who came in a Cretan car threw bombs and bullets at Umesh Pal, the main witness to Raju Pal’s murder, in broad daylight. Umesh Pal and his gunner Sandeep Nishad were brutally murdered in just 44 seconds. Even after being shot, Umesh Pal gets up from the ground and runs towards his house, but the shooter doesn’t leave him behind. Entering the narrow alleys, the miscreants continued to attack Umesh. This horrific murder that took place during the UP assembly session raised many questions about the government of Yogi Adityanath. Responding to opposition parties, STF killed an Arbaaz gunman during a meeting on Monday. Another accused Sadaqat was arrested with him. Sadaqat was driving the shooters’ car during the assassination. A total of seven attackers seen in CCTV footage have been identified. Among these, Asad son of Atiq Ahmed, Bomber Guddu Muslim, Ghulam, Armaan, Sabir and Shahrukh alias Pintu are attacked at various places.

Prayagraj Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma said a reward of Rs 50,000 each had been declared for all those wanted, including Asad, Ghulam and Guddu Muslim, sons of Atiq, named in the case of the murder. The prize money can be further increased. The Sadaqat who was captured by the STF was driving the attackers’ Creta car during the killing. He practices at the High Court of Allahabad. During this time, the criminals were contacted. The people of the Atiq gang had deceived him that the affairs related to the disputed lands would be entrusted to him. He lives in a Muslim hostel. The whole conspiracy to kill Umesh Pal was hatched in his very bedroom.

Guddu Muslim, an expert bomb-maker, has been part of the Atiq gang for 22 years.

On the other hand, STF Bareilly, Naini and Lucknow Jail checks the visitor list of Atiq’s brother, sons and brother-in-law. Arbaz, who was killed during the encounter, is believed to be close to Atiq Ahmed. His father drives Atik Ahmed’s car. The person who is seen throwing bombs very comfortably in the CCTV footage has been identified as Guddu Muslim. The name of Atiq’s close friend Guddu also figured in the murder of games teacher Frederick J Gomes in Lucknow 25 years ago. Guddu was also arrested by Hazratganj police. Apart from this, Muslim’s name also appeared in the murder of Santosh Singh, an entrepreneur from Hussainganj. Guddu Muslim, a bomb-making expert, had traveled to Bihar after being released from prison. After that he went to Bihar.

In the CCTV footage, Atiq Ahmed’s third son, Asad, is also seen shooting. He had no criminal record. He is a student at St. Joseph’s College. He was also warned once for speeding. There are six attackers including Asad on STF’s radar. STF teams are raiding many neighborhoods looking for them. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said even those protecting these shooters will not be spared. Along with this, if someone gives information about them, keeping their name private, a reward will also be given.
