Will connect with Jhansi road

The problem was stuck between New Bhaupur and Ruma. A large flyover is to be built on National Road 2 on this road. According to DFCCIL CPRO Neeraj Verma, the length of this route is 45 km. This route is to be connected to the Jhansi-Kanpur line of the railways between electrification and automatic signalling. There is now more than 10% construction work left. Since the two lines of DFC also cross the Kanpur-Jhansi road, a railway bridge is being constructed there. A railway flyover is also to be built on the NH-2. His work is progressing rapidly. Track works up to 25 km on the 45 km long route have been completed. Yard works are underway at Bhimsen Railway Station on the Kanpur-Jhansi road. It is expected that the work will be completed by December 2022.

According to North Central Railway’s CPRO, passenger trains are running smoothly wherever EDFC has been operationalized. Trains run on time. The project to run trains on this route at a speed of 160 km/h will be completed in March-2024. For this, work continues on a war footing.
