While on patrol, Commander Mount Nilesh Mishra and his gunner were seriously injured in a collision with a Tata-407. Police, who came to the scene after the accident, quickly admitted them to Mathura City Hospital by ambulance. Mathura SSP Abhishek Yadav and other officials arrived at the city hospital late at night to inquire about their condition. SP Dehat Sreeschandra said Nilesh Mishra and Santosh were seriously injured. He said that apart from CO Mant’s broken wrist, there were also other injuries. However, he said that according to the doctors treating him, the condition of the two is out of danger at this time.

The search is on for the fleeing driver
The driver of the Tata-407 fled the scene after the accident at milestone 90 of the Yamuna highway. SP Dehat Sreeschandra said the search for the driver who fled after the incident was ongoing and he would soon be arrested. He said an investigation was also underway regarding the Tata-407 and all information would be collected soon. According to SP Dehat Srishchandra, the autopsy of the corpse of police department driver Vipin Kumar, who was a victim of the accident, is ongoing and his family members have been notified. He said that after the autopsy, the late Vipin Kumar will receive a final farewell with honors from the police.
