Lucknow: If elections are held in the country today, the Narendra Modi government will be formed again in the country. In the general elections held in 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 303 seats. At the same time, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 353 seats in this election. The BJP had obtained an absolute majority for the second consecutive time. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 283 seats. The NDA had 336 seats in its bag during this election. In both of these elections, Uttar Pradesh played an important role in forming the BJP-led NDA government. It seems to be happening again. The mood of C-Voter’s India Today and Mood of the Nation survey indicates something like this. In UP, BJP seems to have a big lead once again.

The India Today C-Voter Mood of the Nation survey claimed that if elections were held in the country today, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA would return to power. The alliance is expected to score a big win in Uttar Pradesh. The survey clearly indicated that the party can get a big win in UP, BJP can win 70 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The victory figure seems to reach around the result of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

In 2014, 71 seats were won and in 2019, 62 seats were won.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 seats. At the same time, the NDA had managed to win 73 seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the opposition formed a strong alliance to corner the BJP. The Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party have formed an alliance. It was claimed to defeat the BJP through a larger social and political equation. After the meeting of Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati, the country’s policy would have been reversed. There was an impact, but this alliance failed to cause a major upheaval. The BJP won 62 seats in the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. Meanwhile, the NDA won 64 seats in the state.

BJP seems to repeat old performance

The Bharatiya Janata Party seems to be returning to their old performance in UP. The reason for this is believed to be the change in the political equation of the UP. In the political field of the UP, we see this time also the anti-BJP parties entering the electoral fray at different levels. At the same time, in the 2022 UP elections, even after all the demands and two polar elections, the NDA managed to register a large victory. The face of Yogi Adityanath and the bulldozer model of law and order in UP remains the talking point. This has continuously strengthened the party. On the other hand, the opposition party does not seem able to put up a face of this level against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is going to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the UP constituency.

BJP preparations are also swift

The Bharatiya Janata Party has also started preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, while the opposition parties are still busy refining their strategy. After the Lok Sabha, the phase of Vidhansabha revisions continues. Recently, at the party’s state executive meeting, he claimed victory over the state’s 80 seats. Meanwhile, the opposition Samajwadi party claims that this time the BJP will suffer a big defeat in the state. However, this time the opposition vote appears to be split between the SP, BSP and Congress. The BJP strongly backs its vote bank. In such a situation, the figures of the Mood of Survey cannot be called shocking.

The seats that the BJP will get in the survey have been mentioned. But, how the seat will be divided in the opposition, the figure is unclear in this regard. The Samajwadi party was limited to 5 seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Two seats went to Congress. BSP’s account was also not opened. In the 2019 elections in Lok Sabha as well, the SP only won 5 seats. At the same time, the number of seats in the 2014 BSP reached 10 thanks to the votes of the Samajwadi Party. One seat went to Congress.

Yogi has become a big face of the party

Yogi Adityanath seems to be having a lot of success in the questions posed in the Mood of the Nation survey regarding the BJP’s big face. The popularity of Yogi Adityanath, who became the UP Chief Minister for the second consecutive time, has increased a lot. In fact, the question was asked in the survey who can be PM Modi’s successor in BJP. In response, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was liked by 26% of people. On the other hand, 25% of people considered UP CM Yogi Adityanath as the successor of PM Modi. 16% of people’s choice was Nitin Gadkari and 6% of people’s choice was Rajnath Singh.
