Secretary General of the organization Avinash Gupta and Treasurer Yogesh Tyagi were also with him. After getting off the electric rickshaw in front of the HDFC bank on Delhi Road, the three of them walked on talking. Meanwhile, BJP executive member Rajat Sharma arrived on a bicycle. Rajat stopped the motorbike and shot Santosh. Santosh fell after being shot in the stomach. The assailant fled. He was rushed to the hospital in a hurry. He is undergoing treatment. The situation remains critical.

The police started the action after this incident. Raids are carried out to arrest the accused Rajat Sharma. During questioning, police learned that the accused had suddenly reached Santosh on a bicycle. He fired the shot saying “what is not of Parshuram, is of no use to me”. SP City Akhilesh Bhadoria said in this case that in the preliminary investigation, the cause of the incident was brought to light due to the ongoing Facebook controversy. The police are investigating the whole affair thoroughly.
SSP reached the hospital
Santosh Pandit’s companions gathered outside Sai Hospital after the shooting. Seeing the huge crowd gathered outside the hospital, the police also became alert. Forces from many police stations were deployed. SSP Hemraj Meena himself arrived on the spot. Took information on the matter. On being informed of the incident, Minister of State of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Rajkamal Gupta reached Sai Hospital. Condemning the incident, he demanded a severe sentence for the accused.
