Moradabad SDM: Moradabad SDM suspended for using bulldozer at furniture dealer

Moradabad: The Yogi government does not tolerate negligence and corruption at any cost. While the Yogi government on Tuesday terminated the services of 841 Prayagraj High Court and Lucknow Bench prosecutors, Moradabad’s SDM Bilari was suspended after corruption allegations were found to be true. Bilari SDM has been accused by a furniture dealer of bulldozing his house on demand for payment of Rs 2.67 lakh. After that, the Yogi government took this step.

On July 12, the wall of the house of businessman Zahid Ahmed, a resident of Station Road in the Tehsil region, was demolished on the orders of SDM Ghanshyam Verma. At the same time, in this regard, the SDM had stated that the wall which was demolished was built by illegally occupying the land of the wall pond. on which action has been taken. The businessman had complained to the commissioner of the SDM.

Zahid Ahmed, a resident of Bilari, Moradabad, had told the commissioner in the complaint that he had a showroom in the name of Ashirwad Furniture. Some time ago, he had met SDM Bilari after complaining about not being weighed at the paddy purchasing centre. Since then, the SDM had made itself known. A few days after that, the SDM came to the showroom and sent furniture worth Rs 1.48 lakh to Bilari and Moradabad residence, but the bill was not paid. Zahid alleges that on July 12, the SDM again came to the showroom and sent furniture worth Rs 1.19 lakh to his daughter’s house in Hardoi. Said the SDM’s daughter is the deputy jailer. Zahid alleges that the SDM refused to pay a total bill of Rs 2.67 lakh. After complaining to the officers, a notice was sent to demolish the house as illegal and a wall was demolished by sending the Tehsildar to his house with a bulldozer. The bulldozer was returned after complaining to officers.

Upon receipt of the complaint, on the instruction of the DM, the SDM (administration) conducted the investigation by Surendra Kumar. The statements of both parties were recorded. During the initial investigation, SDM Ghanshyam Verma was found guilty. After being found guilty, DM Shailendra Singh tied Bilari SDM to the seat. At the same time, the deputy minister sent the investigation report to the commissioner. After that, the commissioner sent the investigation report to the government. Whereupon the government intervened on Tuesday and suspended Bilari SDM.
