Naida: Cyber ​​disbelievers cheated a person living at Lotus Boulevard Society, Noida Sector 100 out of Rs 5.5 lakh under the guise of renting an apartment. The disbelievers tricked him into their trap by posing as an army officer. After that, by downloading an app on the victim’s phone, the cheating incident was committed. The victim filed a complaint at the Sector 39 police station. In the complaint, Mukesh Kumar said that he gave an online advertisement for the rental of his Lotus Boulevard Society apartment. Seeing this, a person called him.

During a telephone conversation with him, the accused told him that he was an officer in the army. After that, he said he had to move to Noida next month. That’s why they need apartments. After that, the accused fraudster agreed to take the apartment. Then the accused asked him to transfer the advance money online only.

After that, on the pretext, the accused had an application downloaded to his phone saying that his bank account was a military account. Then, by hacking the phone, a total of 5 lakh 50,000 rupees was withdrawn from the account through UPI several times. He learned about the fraud after he received the message about the continuous withdrawal of money from the bank. He immediately complained to the bank and the police. The Sector 39 Police Station in charge said that after registering a complaint, the case was forwarded to the cyber cell for investigation.
