Minister Jaiveer Singh said a four-lane road would be constructed from Sahadatganj to Nayaghat road via Sugreev Fort to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi site. This proposal is on the lines of the Kashi Vishwanath corridor. In this context, traders and occupants will be resettled. Apart from this, the road connecting the main road from Faizabad in Ayodhya district via Hanumangarhi to the site of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi will be widened and reinforced. This plan includes the sewage system, the layout of electrical cables and other utilities. The objective was set to complete this work in two years.
Seal on the formation of 18 new Nagar Panchayats
Minister Arvind Sharma said that in the previous cabinet, 18 new nagar panchayats were formed, the limit of 18 was expanded and the limit of two municipal councils was expanded. Today when a new Nagar Panchayat has been formed and two Nagar Panchayats have ceased to exist. In such a situation, there will now be a total of 751 municipal bodies. He said the three nagar panchayats which have been expanded include Khaga of Fatehpur and Nigohi of Shahjahanpur, Sonbhadra Nagar Panchayat of Sonbhadra. A total of seven city councils have been expanded including Anupshahr in Bulandshahr, Kairana in Shamli, Khatauli in Muzaffarnagar, Modinagar in Ghaziabad, Muradnagar and Loni. Along with this, Derwa Bazar of Pratapgarh district was incorporated as a new Nagar Panchayat. Apart from this, expanding the boundaries of Varanasi Municipal Corporation, Ramnagar Nagar Palika Parishad and Sujabad Nagar Panchayat have been added to it.
The CM city creation program has begun
Minister Arvind Sharma said the Yogi government has made a provision of Rs 500 crore for newly established and newly expanded panchayats, municipalities and municipal corporations. For its use, ‘Mukhyamantri Nagar Srijan Yojana’ has been launched. Under this, whatever amount goes to a municipal body, 90% of the weight will be given to its population and 10% of the weight will be given to its area. He said that in this plan, we have also provided that whatever money will be granted, a master plan will be prepared taking into account the requirements, ongoing projects and development plans of the village.
The minister said that before preparing the master plan, suggestions from public representatives would be taken. Also, the departments’ current and future projects will be linked together. The DPR of the municipal organization’s master plan will be approved by a commission chaired by the District Magistrate. At the same time, a committee formed under the chairmanship of the municipal commissioner of the Municipal Corporation will give the authorization after seeing all aspects of the DPR.
The nature of cities will change
The Yogi government is working on a plan to change the nature of the cities. Arvind Sharma said major works that can be done under the city creation plan include roads and drainage, street lights, electrical infrastructure, community hall, development of public amenities in the market, their beautification and development of intersections, among others. included. The plan also highlights that CSR and PPP mode should be prioritized in addition to government funding for the development of Anganwadi places, schools and centres. Apart from this, innovative technology will be used for all the buildings to be constructed, so that the building can be constructed in less time and at a lower cost. A monthly diet monitoring system will also be put in place.
