This is expected to generate over 4.7 lakh job opportunities in the district. The Ghaziabad MP said investors prefer a city with good connectivity. The MP said the government is already constructing a corridor to connect Kanpur and Ghaziabad, the two biggest industrial cities in UP. They also agreed that Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Rapid Rail Corridor should start operations soon. Preparations are underway to have it built at priority level. With this, there is a plan to develop the city of Ghaziabad as a business hub.
Focus on connectivity
Union Minister VK Singh said the government is putting maximum emphasis on increasing connectivity. For this, the road construction plan is being completed as a priority. Connectivity is seen as a game changer. DME, RRTS and other highways are becoming major means of connectivity. He said never before has work been done on this scale for investors. Now, the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad corridor is now connected to the Delhi-Dehradun highway. Work is also underway on the Ghaziabad-Kanpur freight corridor. This type of situation has never happened before.
The FNG hallway will be like this
RK Gupta, chief engineer of the Ghaziabad Development Authority, said the FNG project is still in its early stages. According to the plan, the FNG connector will start from NH-9 near Chhajarsi. Will reach Karhera Rotary via Siddharth Vihar. Work is continuing simultaneously on this plan. This will accelerate urbanization. Related domains will be included in the RNP. Access is also extended to areas linked by the Delhi-Dehradun highway.
Investment proposals also came in the real estate sector
Investment proposals were specifically discussed at Wednesday’s meeting. The real estate sector participated. 47 proposals from the real estate sector came to the meeting. A total of Rs 18,473 crore investment proposals came in this sector. At the meeting, the investors admitted to having expressed their desire to invest due to the increased connectivity in the city. VM Kapoor, owner of Agma Locks, said that we have signed an agreement to establish an industry in Modinagar. We are seeing a growth in connectivity in this city. The flow of material and labor is bound to improve once the rapid rail is operational. The Union minister also advocated making the city a hub for pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.
