Given the possibility of a heat wave in the coming days, the Ministry of Health has already prepared a heat wave action plan. The department has reserved cold rooms in the district hospital and four beds for people suffering from heat stroke in all health centers to cope with the heat wave. Proper disposal of ORS and fluids, etc. should be provided in all hospitals.
CMO Dr Sunil Kumar Sharma said people will be educated about heat protection by ASHA workers and ANMs. Public health expert Dr Amit Kumar said heat exhaustion and heat stroke can occur due to excessive heat and heat stroke. If necessary, cover your head with a damp cloth and cover your body with a cloth. Drink water again and again when there is no desire for thirst. Don’t leave home on an empty stomach. Make sure you have a bottle of water with you.
