Mirzapur: In Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, a member of the gang who sold the Department of Railways copper wire by stealing it was arrested by police during an encounter. The police had announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on the accused. The 10 other accomplices of the gang were also arrested by the police and sent to prison. The police recovered five illegal firearms, stolen wires, a vehicle including 50,000 cash from the disbelievers.

SP Santosh Kumar Mishra said that under the government scheme in Mirzapur and other districts, copper wires installed in the railway department are stolen and sold by cutting. Three teams were formed in this case. The team got information that some people on the hill in Lanka were involved in the buying and selling of stolen goods. After the information, the police raided a half-built house located on the hill of Lanka and arrested 10 people and two people managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.

The miscreant started running while checking
Police were checking near Mawaiya Gursandi More on Tuesday night for the arrest of the fugitive accused. During this time, two people on motorcycles were summoned by the police to stop. Failing to stop the bikers’ vehicles, they opened fire on police, where police opened fire in defence. During the police shooting, cyclist Ravi Bind was shot in the leg, who is undergoing treatment.

10 other gang members arrested
The police exposed the gang that stole the railroad wires. Police arrested 10 other defendants involved in the gang, Udal Bind, Manoj alias Tewari, Murga Bind, Ramterash alias Lakhander, Ankit Pandey, Shankar Jaiswal, Rajan Kori, Naman Kasera, Shrijal Kesarwani, Manoj Kesari and sent them to jail.

Police recovered 107 kg of copper wire
The police team had received information that the stolen wire was hidden in Lanka Hill. Thereupon the team raided and recovered 107 kg of copper wire, 50,000 740 rupees in cash, a vehicle without license plate, 5 illegal 315 caliber pistols, five live cartridges and other items .

Yarns imported from abroad
The copper wires used in the railway department are imported from abroad, which is very expensive. The gang members took the copper wire from many places including Gopalpur village, Lakhmapur, Ranibari, Barkachha and Jigna. Where traders were about to sell Shankar Jaiswal, Rajan Kori, Naman Kasera and Sanjay Kesarwani who were captured.

SP donated 25,000 rewards to the team
The SP presented a reward of Rs 25,000 to the team of Inspector in charge campaign Kotwali Vipin Singh, Inspector in charge Kachwan Ramswaroop Verma, Inspector in charge SOG Satyendra Kumar Yadav and SWAT officer Rajesh G Choubey , who stopped the disbelievers.
