Viral story: Senior citizen thanked his doctors by giving him homegrown rice.
Rice is one of the most basic ingredients of Indian cuisine. It is consumed by itself as well as with curries, vegetables and lentils. Rice is also used as a building block to prepare batter for many dishes like idli, dosa etc. Flattened rice becomes poha, and puffed rice is puffed rice. Rice water is also considered highly nutritious and beneficial for hair and skin. The ubiquitous grain was recently found in the news when a senior citizen used desi rice to thank the team of doctors treating him for Kovid-19. A look at the doctor’s tweet:

Rice picture Urvi Shukla shared on Twitter, which goes by the username @docurvishukla on the micro-blogging website. He spoke in tweet about the contract of a senior citizen Coronavirus And was hospitalized. He was on ventilator for 12 days and in the ICU for 15 days, the position at which he recovered from the disease. Since he was an independent patient, he wanted to thank the team of doctors for serving him and his recovery. Therefore, he decided to offer them a bag of desi rice from his own farm.
