A small private plane crashed into an empty building on the outskirts of Milan in northern Italy on Sunday, killing all eight people on board.
Officials said the plane, which took off from the airport in the city of Linate in Milan, was headed for the island of Sardinia.
The accident happened just outside the suburban metro station.
People in the area heard the explosion when the plane hit a two-storey building, which was empty when it was being renovated.
Witnesses said flames and smoke in the air and several vehicles parked by the roadside caught fire, but no casualties were reported.
