Most G20 members condemn Ukraine war except China, Russia

The G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Delhi ended without any joint statement.

New Delhi:

Most members of the Group of 20 nations (G20) on Thursday strongly condemned the war in Ukraine, with only Russia and China disagreeing, said India as the current chair after the bloc’s foreign ministers meeting in New Delhi.

India’s “chairman’s summary and outcome document” after the meeting largely stuck to the similar language used in the statement it issued after the G20 financial leaders’ meeting last week. In that assembly too, Russia and China disagreed with statements condemning the war.
