One killed in Grabling State University shooting, school says now running normally

Louisiana State Police is investigating the shooting.

Washington:

Grambling State University in Louisiana is now operating as normal after a shooting at a homecoming event that killed one.

“Gramfam, now is the time to be irrefutably integrated as we rally to put each other to rest after this morning’s incident. The campus has been cleared for normal operation, however, for 10/17 Scheduled homecoming events have been canceled w/ classes with 10/18,” the university said on Twitter on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, several shots were fired on the university’s campus, resulting in dozens of injuries and the death of one person (not enrolled in the school), according to The Hill.

NBC said seven people were injured, one of whom is now in critical condition.

Louisiana state police are investigating the shooting, the second fatality at Grambling State University in a week.
