The Sri Lankan Navy has launched a search operation to find an Indian fisherman who went missing after boarding the boat along with two others, an official statement said on Tuesday.

The incident took place near Neduntheevu late on Monday night when a Sri Lankan naval vessel collided with a fishermen’s boat, killing three people on board.

The Sri Lankan Navy said in a statement that two of them were immediately rescued by Sri Lankan personnel, while another fisherman could not be rescued immediately and a search was on.
