Hong Kong police have charged four people in connection with the gruesome murder
Abby Choi, a 28-year-old model and influencer from Hong Kong, went missing last Tuesday. Two days later, dismembered bodies were found in a refrigerator at a house in the city’s Tai Po district. According to the authorities, there was also an electric saw, a meat cutter and some clothes in the house.
However, his head, torso and arms were missing. Now, police have found his missing head in one of two large pots of soup and human remains, new york post informed of.
Superintendent Alan Chung, who is investigating the case, said the head had “no skin or flesh” and was floating in a liquid with pieces of carrot and radish-like soup.
During a press conference he said, “The liquid was up to the top of the vessel, so to speak, and the whole vessel was full.” A lot of fat had solidified in the form of jellies and tops, and there were lots of soup scraps. I remember carrots and green radishes, and there was other minced meat, which I believe were human remains. Regarding the head – it’s actually a skull, there’s no skin or flesh on it. So, basically, scalp with hair,” Mr Chung said during a press conference.
Police believe the influencer was attacked in a car and was unconscious when she was taken home. A forensic examination found a hole in the back of the skull which could be evidence of a fatal attack.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong police have charged four people in connection with the gruesome murder. Those charged with Ms Choi’s murder were her ex-husband Alex Kwong, her father Kwong Kau and brother Anthony Kwong. Ms Choi’s former mother-in-law, Jenny Lee, was also charged with perverting the course of justice by destroying evidence.
According to police, Ms Choi had financial disputes with her ex-husband and his family over a luxury property worth tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars. The four appeared in court on Monday and were denied bail, with the next hearing scheduled for May 8.
Notably, Ms. Choi, a well-known model and influencer, has appeared in Elle, Vogue as well as Harper’s Bazaar. She was also a regular at Paris Fashion Week. Her last social media post was on 19 February, showing a photoshoot she did with the fashion magazine L’Officiel Monaco.
