New Delhi:

The lengthy post comes a day after Twitter fired two senior executives and Mr Musk announced that a $44 billion deal to acquire the site is currently on hold as he awaits data on fake accounts.
A lot has happened in the last several weeks. I’ve focused on the company and haven’t said much publicly during this time, but now I will.

“Some people are asking why a ‘lame-duck’ CEO would make the change if we were to make an acquisition anyway,” Mr Agarwal said.
We announced changes to our leadership team and operations yesterday. Changes affecting people are always difficult. And some are asking why a “lame-duck” CEO would make these changes if we’re achieving it anyway. The short answer is very simple:

“The short answer is very simple: While I expect the deal to close, we need to be prepared for all scenarios and always do what is right for Twitter. I am accountable for the leadership and operations of Twitter, And our job is to build a stronger Twitter every day.” He tweeted.
No one on Twitter is working just to keep the lights on. We take pride in our work. Regardless of future ownership of the company, we are here to improve Twitter as a product and business for customers, partners, shareholders and all of you.

The Twitter CEO said he would “not use the deal as an excuse to avoid making important decisions”.
People have also asked: Why manage costs now versus after closure? Our industry is in a very challenging macro environment — right now. I will not use the deal as an excuse to avoid making decisions that are important to the health of the company, nor will any leader on Twitter.

Mr Agarwal then said that he is “focused on getting things done” and you can expect more changes for the better.
So what can you expect from me next? I’m still focused on getting things done, and that involves making tough decisions as needed. I will continue to embrace the deeper complexities of our service and our business. And you can expect more changes for the better.
