Ride could not start due to evacuation process

The United Kingdom is facing a scorching heat, with temperatures breaking all-time records and power outages due to overheating of equipment. This led to some unfortunate people caught on the rollercoaster at Alton Towers amusement park in Staffordshire, forcing them to go down a flight of stairs to reach the ground.

A guest named Dean shared a photo of the traumatic experience on Twitter. “An oblivion shuttle has stalled at the top, I’m sure magic bottles of water will go straight out this summer,” he wrote.

Guest created a thread on Twitter with images of people stuck on a roller coaster until the evacuation took place.

According to the post, water bottles were provided to the people battling the scorching heat.

He also said that the ride was not able to start due to the evacuation process. Thankfully, no casualties were reported during the evacuation process. Guests were provided with water bottles and a harness to walk back to the ground.

Signaling equipment melted and train tracks were damaged in Britain on Wednesday due to record heat. Due to high temperatures, train services were severely disrupted throughout the United Kingdom.
