New Delhi:
Calling Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s comments at the Raisina talks as ‘false and propaganda’, Ukraine’s charge d’affaires Ivan Konovalov said the speech should not be recited by the minister.
“False and propaganda. I have nothing to say after listening to the speech. This speech should not be delivered by the minister”, Ivan Konovalov told ANI.
Participating in an interaction at the Raisina Dialogue, the Russian Foreign Minister said why everyone is questioning Russia’s lack of initiative for talks but not Ukraine’s.
“Everyone is asking when Russia is ready to negotiate. Nobody asks Zelensky (Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky) when he is going to negotiate. Last year, Zelensky signed a document, when As long as Putin is there, negotiating with Russia is a criminal offense. You can ask him what he’s doing?”, said Sergei Lavrov.
Sergey Lavrov also pointed out that NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg and US President Joe Biden believe that Russian strategic defeat and battlefield defeat are non-existent to them.
“You saw, yesterday at the G20 ministerial, Western friends were shouting into the microphone that Russia must stop the war. When is Russia ready to negotiate? If you’re really interested in politics and its root causes special situation, then you will know why Blinken and Stoltenberg have repeatedly said that should Russia be defeated on the battlefield, Russia should suffer losses strategically”, said Sergei Lavrov.
Meanwhile, Vlada Galan, International Political Strategist, Actum, US, said that the Raisina Dialogue is an incredible event and it brings together decision makers from around the world.
Vlada Galan said, “India enjoys a unique position as a peacemaker. India is trusted by both sides in its equation with both the US and other international key stakeholders.”
Raisina Dialogue is the flagship think-tank event organized by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
The international political strategist said, “India has to step up because it has a unique position as an international peacemaker and is much more credible than China. India can do a lot. It is the center of dialogue.”
