China passed a new law on Thursday to counter foreign sanctions, as Beijing seeks to build its defenses against mounting US and EU pressure on trade and human rights.

Countermeasures in the law include “denial of visa issuance, denial of entry, deportation … and the sealing, confiscation and freezing of property of persons or businesses who comply with foreign sanctions against Chinese businesses or officials.” ”, according to the text published by.
