Tedros Adnom Ghebreyus urges countries to release additional vaccine doses for the Kovacs program

Geneva, Switzerland:

The WHO on Friday urged countries to stop doing bilateral deals for Kovid-19 vaccines and if they signed contracts for overdose, they would be released for the globally shared Kovacs program .

Asked by World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adnom Ghebius that countries that have booked additional vaccine supplements “donate and release Kovacs immediately”, he said: “Stop doing bilateral deals at the expense of Kovacs.”
